Alfredo De Stéfano was born in Monclova, Coahuila, a city of the northeastern Mexican desert. He is considered one of Mexico's most important contemporary photographers. He has a passion for landscape, especially the desert, an environment which he visits on countless occasions, creating performance pieces called "art interventions," photographing his results. De Stéfano's work has been featured in over eighty group and solo shows globally. His photographs have also appeared in numerous publications. De Stéfano's work is included in public and private collections throughout Mexico, as well as internationally.
