Adamson Editions is considered by many to be the world’s highest-quality digital printmaker and, given the studio’s collaboration with some of the best-known and most influential artists of our time, it occupies a lofty position in the realm of digital fine-art printing. Since 1993, David Adamson has been the premier digital printmaker in the country. Adamson has collaborated with some of the most interesting and influential artists working today, including Adam Fuss, Jim Dine, Roni Horn, Robert Rauschenberg, Kiki Smith, Donald Sultan, Annie Leibovitz, Chuck Close, Robert Longo, Jim Hodges, William Wegman, Jenny Holzer, Lynda Benglis, Doug and Mike Starn, Gary Simmons, Inez and Vinoodh, Michael O’Neil, William Christenberry, Lee Friedlander among many others. Combining unique technical expertise in reproduction and digital printing, the studio has grown since 1979, from the passion of one man to a major force in the contemporary art scene. A traveling museum exhibition of the prints, entitled Atelier Adamson, was on display at the Maison Européene de la Photographie in Paris, and the Sungkok Art Museum in Seoul, South Korea. The catalog for this exhibition was published by Steidl.
